The Shocking Ending to the Canceled Show Has Been Revealed.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul has revealed she accepted a marriage proposal at the end of her scrapped season of The Bachelorette US.
The 32-year-old filmed Season 22 of the dating show earlier this year, but ABC cancelled it days before the scheduled premiere date following domestic violence allegations between Taylor and her ex Dakota Mortensen.

In a clip from the upcoming season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which aired on Hulu’s Get Real, Paul confirmed one of the men she met on The Bachelorette US popped the question in the finale.
“Yes, he did get down on one knee and proposed, which I was shocked [by],” Paul told her co-stars.
The man had said he wasn’t going to propose, and Paul confirmed she and him had spoken about it and agreed not to get engaged.
“He told me, like, we weren’t planning on doing that,” she said.
But when he got down on one knee, she accepted.
It appears the engagement lasted until Paul returned home from filming and reconnected with Mortensen.
“Obviously, we [she and Mortensen] were texting, ‘When are you coming home? When are you gonna be home?’” she said in the clip.
“I don’t know how it led to it, but he came over.”
Her co-stars were stunned by the revelation, as were the Get Real hosts, who speculated that Paul’s season of The Bachelorette US will never see the light of day now the ending has been spoiled.

The show was cancelled earlier this year after footage emerged of Paul throwing chairs at Mortensen with one of their children nearby in 2023.

Two Utah police departments then opened domestic violence investigations into Paul and Mortensen, sparking a drawn-out legal battle.
In 2023, Paul pleaded guilty to aggravated assault as part of a plea agreement which resulted in her other charges being dismissed.
Her plea was held in abeyance, allowing the felony to be reduced to a misdemeanour upon fulfilling her court obligations.
Another incident in 2026 resulted in a judge ruling Paul could no longer spend unsupervised time with her two-year-old son Ever.
That order was lifted a few months later.

The scandal prompted Hulu to halt filming on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives′ fifth season.
New scenes and confessionals were filmed after production recommenced in May, and the show is set to return to screens later this month.

People reported that the man may be contestant Doug Mason, who shares the same initials as Mortensen and supported Paul through her legal drama.
It remains to be seen if she’ll shed more light on their relationship and The Bachelorette US stint in the new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
